We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to be primarily responsible for planning, prioritizing, and evaluating the workflow within their assigned cell under the direct supervision of the Production Manager and serving as a liaison between other employees and designated Supervisor with the responsibility and authority to carry out all assigned task.

Job Responsibilities

  • Tracks specific components within the cell as they progress through the shop on a daily basis.
  • Plans, assigns, prioritizes and evaluates the workflow within their assigned cell to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Works under the direction of the Operations Manager and makes recommendations to the Operations Manager regarding the need for tools, equipment, and consumable items that may increase the efficiency of their cell.
  • Ensures that work is conducted in a safe manner and that technical specifications are complied with in order to meet quality standards.
  • Communicates the status of orders to the Operations Manager and/or customer support; and any technical concerns to Engineering and Quality.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned to support overall shop function.
  • Must be mentally coherent and free from the influence of drugs (either illegal or legally prescribed drugs that may cause impairment) while performing in the capacity of “safety-sensitive” duties/operations per FAA regulations.
  • Perform any additional tasks as required.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained within the work area.
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with QHSE policy.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Computer software (MS Office WORD, EXCEL, and ACCESS/internet navigation).
  • Machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniques.
  • Knowledge of hand tools.
  • Use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Oral and written communication (English).
  • Use of various hand tools.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Read complex blueprints specifications, charts and follow work orders and engineering instructions as necessary.
  • Analyze and solve repair/overhaul problems.
  • Organize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral).
  • confident with working with confidential information.
  • Process data into useful information.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to aid in audits.
  • Perform mathematical calculations associated with repair work scopes.
  • Train others as required.
  • Flexible with work schedule.
  • Learn tasks required to perform the job.

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (preferably in an aerospace environment.) with appropriate certifications.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA A&P License and/or Repairman Certificate and/or Technical School Background.

Physical Requirements

  • Good dexterity(grip, grasp, clutch).
  • Repetitive motion of hands and wrist.
  • Punctual.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to sit/stand for up to 7 hours a day.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical machine shop environment.
  • Some exposure to noise associated with a shop environment.
  • Minimal exposure to physical risk associated with a shop environment. #LI-HB1
