EthosEnergy is recruiting for a Machinist to be primarily responsible for setting up and operating all machine shop equipment, making tools and fixtures, working with different types of materials, and programming as required with the authority to carry out all assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes/mills, manual lathes/mills, EDM and/or other machine shop equipment and program CNC machines as required.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments.
  • Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.
  • Operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.
  • Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as necessary.
  • Inspect and document machinery for any needed repairs.
  • Make minor repairs on machinery as needed.
  • Work under the direction of the lead technician and/or Shop Supervisor.
  • Works with Engineers, production personal, or others to resolve issues.
  • Follows all work routings/procedures and quality documentation.
  • Must be mentally coherent and free from the influence of drugs (either illegal or legally prescribed drugs that may cause impairment) while performing in the capacity of “safety-sensitive” duties/operations per FAA regulations.
  • Perform any additional tasks as required.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer software (MS Office WORD, EXCEL, and ACCESS/internet navigation).
  • Knowledge of machine shop equipment (CNC machines, lathes, mills EDM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniques.
  • Skilled in the use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication (English)
  • Ability to machine and measure to close tolerances (.0002”) as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints specifications, charts and follow work orders and engineering instructions as necessary.
  • Ability to analyze and solve repair/overhaul problems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to process data into useful information.
  • Ability to aid in audits.
  • Ability to think and concentrate for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations associated with repair work scopes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to train others as required.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule.
  • Ability to learn tasks required to perform the job.

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Good dexterity (grip, grasp, clutch).
  • Punctual.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours a day.
