We are currently recruiting for a temporary Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join us on a fixed term, contract basis in Aberdeen. The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for vacancies at all levels and disciplines. Working closely with the Human Resources teams, Talent Acquisition Manager and Technical functions; the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be highly organised. The successful candidate will be responsible for advertising, searching and sourcing excellent talent for our business with a focus given to direct sourcing methods. The Recruiter will be responsible for managing vacancies within their assigned area of responsibility, adhering to appropriate timescales and budget requirements, and ensuring that the expectations of candidates and hiring managers are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish strong working relationships with internal customers, providing regular updates on resourcing progress in their area of responsibility
  • Develop a strong understanding of business needs and respond to requests for resourcing support. Proactively engage with business management to understand likely future demand patterns in their area.
  • Ensure that our customers understand the recruitment process and provide guidance and support throughout.
  • Verify, probe and challenge content of job and person specifications for assigned vacancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Transform content of job descriptions into compelling advertisements tailored to the advertising medium, making use of keywords to ensure they appear in appropriate searches. Ensure job advertisements accurately reflect business needs, core values and legal requirements
  • Advise customers on employment models, salary/rate information, market data and costs associated with the recruitment process
  • Provide advice on appropriate candidate sources and attraction media to attract both internal and external applicants. Undertake complex searches on a variety of media.
  • Ensure all applicants have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process, regardless of the outcome of their application
  • Interpret candidate experience against job requisition, and interrogate and verify candidate experience to produce prequalified shortlists.
  • Take lead in conducting candidate screenings and interviews if necessary with hiring manager and HR teams. Closing out with both successful and unsuccessful candidates. Provide other support as appropriate throughout the selection process.
  • Proactively create pipelines of talent to meet future needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring candidate and vacancy data is correct and up to date and accurate.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Understanding of employment legislation as it relates to recruitment and selection in their region.

  • Candidate must be a Self-Starter and have accountability for own actions.
  • Tertiary education qualification in business/administration/HR or related field preferred.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly the Microsoft Office suite.

Experience

  • Strong foundational knowledge of HR practices from an educational background or some demonstrable experience in HR / Recruitment.
  • Preferred: Some experience in a large multi-national organization and/or in-house recruitment capacity.
  • Preferred: Experience could include resume screening, interviewing, candidate management and customer service but is not essential.

Education Requirements

  • A recent Graduate in Human Resources Management or another suitable discipline and/or demonstrated entry level experience in Talent Acquisition.
