We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to work on engineering projects starting from the bid phase, continuing through to award, start up and execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Critical spares support – review of manuals and available documentation in relation to spares supply
  • Work with vendors / suppliers and application engineering to ensure correct fit form and function of parts supplied
  • Create and maintain a rotable parts worksheet with all RSRUK capital parts installed and spare, and any known history
  • Supporting creation of workpack elements including method statements, technical drawings, P&IDs, etc
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company’s HSE policies and guidelines.
  • Provide engineering support solutions through Life cycle management, Asset management and Safety engineering.
  • Provide day-to-day reactive support to onshore/offshore mechanical teams on planned works, breakdown and troubleshooting activities.
  • Know ledge of appropriate gas turbines codes of practice, standards, relevant statutory documentation and upgrade improvements on aging fleet of gas turbines would be advantageous.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills in mechanical systems. Working knowledge of gas turbine electrical and controls systems would be beneficial.
  • Act as engineering lead on assigned projects including design & development, maintenance, commissioning and diagnostics
  • Lead the development of FMEAs
  • Able to perform mechanical design calculations and produce technical evaluation reports
  • Good customer facing skills.
  • Undertake planning, delivery and monitoring of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring requirements are delivered to time, quality and cost, including subcontractor scope generation, contracting, delivery management and output acceptance.
  • Commitment to and promotion of FSO UK engineering services to existing and prospective clients. Act to resolve urgent quality issues, including customer visits where necessary.
  • Able to work independently and proactively engage in the Service excellence framework.
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
  • EthosEnergy field service organisation is 24/7, 365 day operation and this requires out of hours support and site visits.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Good Analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret large sets of data.
  • Ability to write and present detailed technical reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Ensure the company quality standards are met and applied.
  • Strong Customer focus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine theory and performance.

Experience

  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
  • Experience in power plant operations and/or rotating equipment.
  • Previous experience with GE Frame 5

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree as minimum.
