The purpose of the position is to perform the full range of Machinist duties and services for the EthosEnergy Accessories and Components division. This includes performing various machining operations on multiple Gas Turbine component parts

Job Responsibilities

  • Machining of various component parts ensuring that route cards are followed and all necessary details recorded in line with quality guidelines.
  • Carry out dimensional and visual inspection in accordance with internal documents.
  • Using various types of machines such as Lathes, Vertical Milling Machines and Electro Discharge Machines (EDM) as required.
  • Carry out dimensional and visual inspection in accordance with internal documents.
  • Ensure layer 1 audit completed for all machinery.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated before use.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Machine Shop Equipment
  • Knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniques.
  • Skilled in the use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication (English)
  • Ability to machine and measure to close tolerances (.0005”) as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read complex drawing specifications, charts and follow work orders and engineering instructions as necessary.


  • Previous Manual Machining experience
  • Mechanical engineering experience essential, preferably from a Gas Turbine background or similar environment.
  • Qualified to SVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering desirable.

  • Qualified to SVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering desirable
