We are currently recruiting for a Tool Crib Attendant based in Chicopee, MA. This position is required to work in the tool crib and to perform tool storage areas duties such as to store, locate, issue, deliver, collect, record, identify and mark tools, jigs, and fixtures. Required to maintain tool room in an organize and cleanly manner. Maintain computerized inventory control. Solid organizational skills required.

Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of his/her supervisor, perform such duties as the receiving, storing, protecting, handling, locating, issuing, delivering, collecting, recording, identifying, and marking of a full line of equipment and supplies such as tools, jigs, fixtures, special attachments, and other equipment and supplies necessary to operate the machine shop.
Keep records as required, such as location, quantities, usage, changes, issues, and follow-up.
Maintain stocks as required.
Recognize and report if, by visual observation, sharpening, repair, reconditioning, or replacement appears to be necessary.
Sort tools for cutter grinding.
Keep working area, bins, racks, and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
Perform above duties with minimal assistance, except for unusual or difficult jobs. Consistently perform duties in a satisfactory manner so that no avoidable delays occur in operations or services dependent upon him/her.
Perform other duties as assigned. Light driving duties for pick up and deliveries.

Required Skills / Knowledge

Microsoft office and general computer skills a must. Organized and detailed orientated. Requires the use of simple arithmetic.

Experience

One or more years’ experience in an industrial environment is a plus. Computerized inventory control experience is a plus

Education Requirements

High school or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 40lbs.
