We are currently looking for an Energy Market Analyst to join our West Hemisphere Marketing team, reporting directly to our Head of Global Marketing. This role will be responsible for gathering, distilling, analyzing, and communicating power generation market and situational trends in support of EthosEnergy’s overall growth strategy. Primarily, the Strategic Market Analyst will manage our database and tracking of power generation assets, customers and plants across the Utilities, Oil & Gas, Industrial Manufacturing and Aerospace markets, providing the latest, verified market intelligence to our business. This role will work closely with a number of functions including Senior Leadership, Marketing, Sales, Commercial and IT to provide information that will form the basis for future go-to-market strategies as well as business cases to support global product development roadmaps. This will include maintaining our asset ownership database, monitoring, and analyzing market trends, competitor assessment, market pricing analysis, identification of business opportunities through market gaps, threat analysis and customer value propositions with EthosEnergy products, services and solutions. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about energy transition in the power generation industry and wants to be a recognized as an expert internally and externally. This position can be based remotely within the US.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Collection, interpretation and on-going reporting of market research utilizing understanding of industry trends to inform business decision making process
  • Extensive data research. Responsible for maintaining a large database of energy related data that must be updated regularly. Data sources include data-providers, industry publications, regulatory agencies and web research.
  • Tracking of up-to-date information on energy sector (particularly generation, transmission and distribution) and incorporating in existing industry databases
  • Lead market intelligence – Own the process of overhauling and maintaining asset database in the company’s CRM. Own process of sharing collected customer knowledge
  • Maintaining and building a database of market based pricing and working closely with our Commercial function to ensure customer proposals accurately reflect market trends.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and applying detailed market simulation models for the energy industry for customer planning and investment objectives, evaluating impacts of structural changes in electricity markets, and identifying growth opportunities
  • Develop and build our customer satisfaction/Net Promoter score program and ensure consistent customer feedback to our business.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated ability to drive & coordinate cross functional teams
  • Proven track record of successful and complex analytical decision-making with high business impact
  • Advanced organizational skills with emphasis on customer service and attention to detail.
  • Advanced communication skills, with experience working on cross-functional reporting teams with global exposure both internally and externally


  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the power generation/utilities business desired
  • Experience in Marketing, Economics, Business and/or Market Intelligence
  • Experience with CRM systems, research, and Market Analytic tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, S&P Platts, EIA, IIR etc.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Economics, or related field
  • Higher level education a plus (Master’s Degree etc.)
