We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Manager to join our Field Service organization in the West Hemisphere. In this position you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of field service teams and tooling ensuring the successful execution of projects/outages.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Field Service business stream within EthosEnergy including but not exhaustive of:
  • Develop the existing Field Service Organization to provide world class field service activities and support.
  • Ensure that there is Field Service capability to service all supported product offerings in gas turbines, steams turbines and generators.
  • Attend customer meetings and site walk downs to fully understand the customer’s needs and the site/outage/job requirements.
  • Manage a team of Technical Field Advisors (TFAs), Superintendents, craft labor and tooling to ensure that the Field Services’ teams are competently trained and resourced to meet the customer requirements
  • Oversee the management of the tooling facility in Greenville, South Carolina to ensure that tooling kits, trailers and other tools are delivered and maintained to support field service activities.
  • Spearhead the utilization of resource management solutions such as SalesForce Field Service Lightning or equivalent to effectively manage and optimize field resources and their utilization.
  • Develop and maintain a competence matrix for training of field service personnel commensurate with EthosEnergy’s service capabilities and offerings.
  • Deliver training to meet competence requirements and aid in staff retention
  • Develop internal metrics and reports to demonstrate safety, quality, labor utilization, efficiency, and overhead costs.
  • Work with third party contractors/suppliers and labor providers as needed to ensure that field services’ commitments are met
  • Liaise with Field Service team members and Project Managers to monitor job progress against plan and complete a job scorecard for key performance indicators.
  • Provide quick reaction troubleshooting and support as needed to all customer issues.
  • Complete random Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Quality Assurance (QA) audits to ensure compliance and overall outage safety.
  • Assist in the outage scope planning and execution, including closeout oversight, event parts, and repairs planning.
  • Act as the interface with various internal stakeholders such as engineering, finance, sales, sourcing, affiliates, risk, parts, and repairs.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Product knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines and generators essential.
  • Strong commercial and project management skills are essential as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to carry projects from conception to commissioning.
  • Good business financial skills and acumen
  • Management experience of remote staff essential
  • Reporting writing skills essential.
  • Must be computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Technical Programs)


  • A minimum of eight year's relevant experience, with a minimum of five years in a power generation field service.
  • Ideal candidates will have strong power or process industry experience and will have successfully managed operations teams, contracts, budgets, and people.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in a turbomachinery background in gas turbines, steam turbines and generators.
  • Experience in the operation, assembly, disassembly, installation, and commissioning of turbomachinery.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills with a positive, proactive attitude.

Education Requirements

  • A four-year degree in engineering or commensurate work experience is required as well as a demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
