Responsible for providing the overall general management, strategic leadership and performance for Project Management, Field Services Organization (FSO), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in the West Hemisphere. The role also requires responsibility to ensure that the Project Management organization is operated in a manner consistent with company core values, objectives, strategies, plans, policies and goals. To lead and manage the achievement of annual Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) and quality, cost delivery, responsiveness and balance sheet performance targets. To lead people, technology, processes and systems for best practice results in the execution of a quality product or service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into place.
  • Responsible for the overall profitable execution of contracts for the Project Management organization in the West Hemisphere. This includes driving the organization to achieve and surpass as sold profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • Foster an environment that maintains exceptional Customer Service facilitating repeat customer contracts
  • Lead the business in all aspects of strategic planning including inventory, resource planning and growth initiatives to ensure the projects organization is ready to serve.
  • Spearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective organizational growth strategies and processes to meet business volume demands.
  • Maintain forecast of backlog revenues for accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
  • Motivates and leads a high-performance management team: attracts, recruits and retains required members of the management team not currently in place; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Represents the company with clients and business partners.
  • Ensure plans for the business are clearly communicated and subordinate plans and objectives are aligned with overall objectives, including those goals which may reside outside the direct staff.
  • Identify and develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) and utilize shared vision and KPI’s to facilitate continuous improvement across the business.
  • Responsible to ensure teams within the Project Management organization understand the contractual obligations, including schedule requirements, scope of supply, change orders and support needed to fully execute orders and commitments.
  • Responsible for overall quality, adherence to company quality standards and meeting customer Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements.
  • Work with other operational leaders and their staffs to ensure processes and services meet customer CTQs.
  • Prepare reports and conduct regular reviews as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • General knowledge and proficiency in multiple disciplines: Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Health & Safety, Environmental, regulatory compliance, Quality, Human Resources and Information Systems.
  • Operations management experience in a service environment. Ability to align personal behaviour with company core values and hold management and staff to the same high standards of conduct.
  • Ability to lead and inspire especially during uncertain times.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure creation and change management initiatives.
  • Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles, practices, and objectives…solid business and financial acumen.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a team-based organizational structure.
  • Organizational skills, managing several tasks concurrently, and working well with others in a stressful situation.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.


  • At least fifteen (15) years of experience in power generation
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in project management or business management
  • Direct experience with gas turbine, steam turbines and aviation repairs and overhauls is preferred.
  • Experience as a service provider is preferred.

Education Requirements

  • A four year degree or commensurate experience is required as well as a demonstrated record of successful goal achievement.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
