The IC&E Technician will be required to install, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, and control systems, throughout the facility. Strictly adheres to all safety and environmental rules and regulations to protect employees and public safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and repairs instrumentation and control system malfunctions including DCS, pneumatic and electric actuators, flow meters, pressure, temperature, and level transmitters, switches, vibration monitoring systems, pH, CEMS, and gas chromatographs.
  • Installs new equipment as required.
  • Properly uses electrical test equipment and other similar tools.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Uses facility operating procedures and equipment technical manuals to maintain and repair facility equipment.
  • Updates drawings and prints as required.
  • Performs quarterly and annual instrument calibrations.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Instrumentation & Electrical experience
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must understand 40CFR Part 75 and Part 60 environmental regulations.
  • May be required to operate a forklift and similar equipment.
  • Reads understands and complies with all regulatory and facility safety procedures

Experience

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in an industrial environment.
  • Five (5) + years electrical and or instrumentation experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with Woodward and GE Mark VI-E (MKVI-E) turbine controls.
  • CEMS maintenance/ Troubleshooting experience.
  • DCS to I/O to field device troubleshooting experience is required.

Education Requirements

  • Associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation and controls, or equivalent engineering studies preferred

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers dexterously to operate tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate orally. Sitting for extended periods may be required. The employee must be able to transport up to 50 pounds.
  • Work overtime, as needed to support reliable operation of the facility.
