Work from verbal and written orders; read and interpret complex assembly blueprints; work from bills of material, or assembly sheets. Use precision measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, proof staff, levels, dial indicators, thickness gages and other precision instruments to attain alignment, fits, clearances, and end play as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Record data on prepared forms to document erecting results, clearances, etc. as required.
  • Determine extent of damage and make reports on customer returned units.
  • Remove burrs and sharp edges, mark, identify, preserve and protect parts as directed.
  • Detect and correct errors such as improper fits, alignment, clearances and similar mechanical errors, or cause to have corrected.
  • Consistently produce work of proper quality and of properly required quality.
  • Setup and operate mill, lathe, and surface grinder with minimum supervision.
  • Be able to perform complex rigging with minimum supervision.
  • May be required to learn and perform basic blading fundamentals.
  • May be required to fulfill temporary assignments outside of home department including customer work sites.
  • Has a positive attitude toward safety; cleanliness, neatness, quality and quantity of work as well as respect for the comfort and safety of others.
  • Travel to customer sites and other EthosEnergy facilities to support as needed.
  • Adhere & Comply to EthosEnergy Safety, Quality and production standards daily

Experience

  • Equivalent to one to three years trades training. Seven or more years’ experience

Education Requirements

  • High school Diploma for equivalent

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift more than 25lbs unassisted Standing for long periods of time Requires the use of shop mathematics together with use of complex drawings, sketches, specifications, and charts. Use of variety of precision measuring instruments.
