As Chief Engineer, you will lead the technical support and engineering activities related to the inspection, repairs and performance testing of manufactured high speed compressor equipment and accessories.
The role includes the coordination of re-rate design / advance services on compressors.

This position can be based from Enschede, Netherlands or one of our office locations within Europe.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the day-to-day compressor engineering department
  • Represents EthosEnergy Compressor Product Line on an international level and including Customer as required.
  • Responsible for the management of multidisciplinary teams as well as for the performance testing, maintenance and normal operations activities associated to the facility.
  • Responsible for the general operations of Quality Control and Repairs Engineering activities associated to the maintenance, repair and overhaul of internal and external components of high speed rotating equipment serviced in the facility.
  • Create, manage and develop solutions aimed at producing costs effective repairs for use on compressor product lines manufactured by outside vendor work.
  • Responsible for ensuring repairs are in compliance with quality control standards.
  • Provide engineering support to the teams and leadership groups to execute activities associated with the goals and objectives deployed in the business by Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Coordinate the creation of relevant work instructions, drawings and documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Develop technical solutions by coordinating requirements and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Promote initiative aimed to growth the business, including CO2 and Hydrogen project.
  • Work with outside vendors as required to validate capabilities and to ensure the work performed meets agreed standards contractually and technically.
  • Support operations with failure investigations, internal Non Conformance Reports and external corrective action requests from suppliers.
  • Prepares technical papers for publications.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Specific design knowledge on turbo compressors (API 617) on the compressor itself and the auxiliary systems such as oil systems and dry gas seal systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the compressor design is a must.
  • History of strong technical communication skills with the ability to lead negotiations with technical customers departments.
  • Extensive technical experience, including the development of strategic and operational plans and implementation.
  • Ability to analyze and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Excellent business communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong networking skills externally and internally with the ability to cultivate and build strong relationships with counterparts.
  • Compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments.
  • Fluent English (written and oral) is a requirement.

Experience

  • A minimum of ten (10) year's relevant experience in a similar role, with a minimum of five (5) years in a senior corporate management position.

Education Requirements

  • A university degree (in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field of study) or commensurate experience is required as well as a demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
