Shanahan Engineering are currently recruiting for an Assignment Officer to support their field service team in Dublin. The position will assist with the management of the employees assigned to projects globally, including executing the onboarding process for new employees and the collating and processing of weekly time sheets and expenses. The role also requires the need to develop and maintain internal and external relationships that facilitate retaining the best available talent to align with business needs. The assignment officer is the first and main point of contact for employees and contractors on site. The role of the assignment officer is to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the assignment process from onboarding and mobilisation to on-assignment management of the assignee through to demobilisation.

Job Responsibilities

  • The assignment of all HO & field personnel (except Americas) for Shanahan Engineering Group Ltd. Expected duties to include and not limited to
  • Time and Expenses reporting
  • Mobilisation and De-Mobilisation of all field personnel
  • Pulling specific and exception reports for Salesforce with regard to all aspects of the assignment process.
  • Travel/Visa Support and processing of same
  • Finance Team Support
  • Employee/Contractor Point of Contact
  • Addressing employee / contractor queries timeously

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience preferably in a global mobility environment. Experience with working in a multi disciplined department and demonstrate a strong communication and teamwork skillset.

Education Requirements

  • Second level qualification as a minimum
  • MS Office experience
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is preferable but not essential
