We are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Radiography/LPI Inspector to join our team in Dyce, Aberdeen. The purpose of the position is to perform radiographic inspection and Liquid penetrant inspection duties and services for the EthosEnergy Accessories and Components division (including aerospace components).

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate Radiographic Testing equipment in accordance with applicable regulations, codes, practices, and procedures
  • Reading and interpreting computer readout X-Ray images.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
  • Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
  • complete all necessary paperwork
  • Determine repairability of components.
  • Complete inspection sheets as and when required.
  • Ensure layer 1 audit completed for all equipment and machinery prior to use.
  • Ensure all test and measuring equipment is calibrated prior to use.
  • Ensure that all components are handled and transported in a safe manner.
  • Ensure that work area and all work equipment adhere to site HSE requirements.
  • Assist with other parts of the business as and when required.
  • Operate within QHSE guidelines. Health, Safety and Environment Responsibilities
  • Ensure high levels of housekeeping maintained in work area
  • Ensure adherence to Site Safety Rules & Regulations
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with QHSE policy
  • Ensure visitors to site are aware of company HSE requirements
  • Actively participate in HSE meetings as required
  • Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed
  • Work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts responsibility for a safe workplace and actively intervenes when witnessing an unsafe act and/or reports all unsafe acts and conditions
  • Work within the team to develop a healthy working life, a sustainable environment
  • Ensure working within controls of Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Attentive to detail and desire to produce a quality product.
  • Responsiveness to business needs.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Proactive attitude and proven ability of working within a team environment.
  • MS Office skills desirable, however training will be given.

Experience

  • Experience from a Aerospace , or Gas Turbine background or similar environment desired but not essential.

Education Requirements

  • EN4179/ASNT/PCN Level II qualification in computed Radiography desired but not essential
  • EN4179/ASNT/PCN Level II qualification in film or computed radiography Required.
  • EN4179/ASNT/PCN Level II qualification in Liquid Penetrant Inspection desired but not essential

Physical Requirements

  • Workshop environment
