PSE Signs Contract with EthosEnergy for Autotransformer Supply

On September 30, 2024, Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. - PSE signed contracts with EthosEnergy Poland and Hitachi Energy Poland for the supply of autotransformers worth almost EUR 46 million.
EthosEnergy Poland and Hitachi Energy were selected in a tender, and the delivery of eight autotransformers was divided into groups, depending on the power of the units. The first autotransformers under the signed contracts will be delivered in 2026.
PSE plans to purchase and install several dozen other transformers of this type in the coming years, which will replace some of the currently used ones or will be installed in completely new power stations. This will enable further development of their electric power systems, as well as create new and better conditions for connecting new generation sources and electricity consumers to the transmission network. These investments have a measurable impact on the stability and security of the Polish National Power System.
